Let's Costume Like Adults

When you have something going on during Halloween, you want to do something great. Sometimes you walk down the aisles of the store and see the Halloween section, but the costumes there just don't cut it. The Halloween store doesn't have anything that fits your needs.

   

You end up buying a generic bagged costume (pictured above) and then you vow that next year, your costume will be better. You've thought about making your own, but Halloween is literally days away and you don't have the time or the resources.

This is Halloween

As you may know, Halloween is Thursday! :D This is the day I always look forward to because I love costumes and dressing up, but as you probably know- class work  invariably gets the fun fall spirit a little dampened. This year, I was determined to work ahead of schedule to not let this happen so I could preview my cosplay at the Halloween parties before going to A Kon so I could have time to revamp it and improve it.

What Scares You?

 

With Halloween upon is it comes time for the age old question "What scares you?" For me loads of movies used to frighten me ( rather easily, I admit ) but now I love them.

You have new Halloween plans!

                Old tales of headless horsemen, witches, and creepy crawly things that roam the night have been passed through generations. Ominous nights are shared around the country and screams are sure to be certain. Kids in costumes flock the streets to ravish in sweet deliciousness. Adults get together in social environments to have an excuse to dress in costume. These all represent one of the most beloved holidays  aside from Christmas; Halloween.

                There’s so much going on in one night that you hardly have time to decide where you will spend your night. Will you go to a haunted house?  Will you go to a get together? Or will you stay at home and study calculus? Who knows…but one thing is certain. Things are happening.

                SigmaAlpha Epsilon will host a fundraising event called Monsters for Miracles, Thursday, October 31^st at the UC Ballroom. This event will last from 8-11 p.m.  There will be FREE FOOD. Yes, free.There’s a cover charge of $5. All the proceeds will go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as it is the fraternity’s philanthropy service.

It's fall at UT Tyler! How are you spending your season?

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! As I told you in a previous blog, the leaves begin to change color and the air becomes more brisk.  Now, the question is how will you plan to spend your time in this most wonderful time of year? Will you be staying inside watching television? Or will you go out and enjoy the best time of the year?!

Hey guys! It’s that time again! I’m back with my month segment, Random Holiday Calender. This month, we’re in for the quintessential pumpkin days, with all of the delicious sweets and spooks that come with Halloween! Who doesn’t love the cooling air, the harvest moons, and the new fashion statements that come with the first full month of autumn? Okay, okay. Not everyone shares the enthusiasm, I understand.

Maybe you don’t like spooks and sweets for some reason. Maybe the coming cold weather makes you feel  like a hibernating bear. You know what? That’s okay! There’s 30 more holidays to celebrate this October to keep you joyful!
