Now for eating healthier,
that's a bit trickier. I have such a hard time with this since, we can all
agree that most people tend to lean towards the unhealthier food selection.
They are just SO good! Maybe start off my giving up some junk food you really like
but know is bad for you. I myself gave up drinking soda and right now I'm
trying to cut back eating chocolate ( oh my goodness, it's SOOOOO hard. I feel
like I'm experiencing chocolate withdrawal). I'm not a doctor or anything
like that, this is entirely an opinion of a girl who has gotten through all
these pressures that most girls go through. It's easier sometimes to focus on
negative things about yourselves, but say and acknowledge at LEAST one good
thing you see in yourselves and focus on that instead of the negatives. I'm
working on that , I tend to get really hard on myself, but if I can do it, I
bet you guys can too:) Just always remember, to do things that make YOU happy.

College Food!!
College cafeteria food is WAY
different than High school cafeteria food… at least the way I see it. In high
school, the cafeteria ladies seemed really cranky all the time, and they don’t
really enjoy answering questions. And do I really need to talk
about the food?
Now, from what I’ve gathered so far by going to the Met, the college cafeteria food experience is quite the opposite. When I go in there, the first thing I do is give them my ID card, and use my meal plan. The woman at the register almost always has a warm smile on her face! Next, I go to pick out my food! I must say, they have way more variety than high school had to offer. For lunch, they do offer some things every day, like pizza and burgers, but there’s another station that has something different every day. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the met here on campus.

Another upside to eating at the Met
is that you don’t have to go out and buy your own food and make it if you don’t
want to! Plus, it’s all you can eat at the met, which means that if you’re not
full after eating just one plate of food, you can go back and get however much
food you and your stomach can take. They even have to-go boxes if you want to
take your food with you! Honestly, this is a HUGE change for me when it comes
to quality and service of school food. I just wish the met was open later than
it is, mainly because I get super hungry in the middle of the night. But
really, it’s also good to have some food in your dorm with you, just in case
you get hungry when the Met is closed!
For all students
that live on campus, you're required to get a meal plan. Each meal plan comes
with certain amount of dining dollars based on which meal plan you decide to
get, so that you can get food from places like the on campus Subway or Chick-fil-a
if you want! Also, Schlotzsky's Deli OFF campus accepts dining dollars too!

Reclaiming my Time
During a normal school day, I waste so much time. Time finding my pants. Time finding something to eat. Time finding my books. Time finding matching socks.
Time.
Time.
Time.
Time that I have to admit that I just don’t have. So, today, I will tell you I have actually learned from my mistakes.
My first step, as TJ suggested, I’m going to clean my closet. Actually, I will clean out my closet. After coming to college, I lost about thirty pounds by walking around campus and eating better. Almost half of the clothes that are in my closet, I can’t even wear anymore. It’s about time I let go, and embrace my new body. Maybe The Toms Shoes Campus Club will have another garage sale? I’ll have everything they need.
I aim to tackle that thick stack of papers on my desk. Yes, have used the excuse that I read a study somewhere that said that making stacks of things is our brain's way to say that we will come back to the task later. It is later, now I have no excuse. An accumulation of papers that embody all that is important… but not important enough to store, shred, or record? COME ON. Once I get rid of the piles on my desk, maybe I can use the space to write something, instead of hunching over my laptop on my bed. Isn't that what desks are for, anyway?
Before I turn in early, I will prepare a comprehensive grocery list of all the food I eat during the week. Without planning ahead and being realistic about what I need, I end up spending money on fast food that I do not necessarily have, and eating junk instead of something delicious and healthy. After I go shopping Tuesday, everything will be set.
School is much easier when I feel more organized. Man, I miss eating at the MET.
