How to Talk to New People

            So, last week I covered Sidewalk Etiquette at UT Tyler, but it seems I've missed expanding on a key point. After moving over thirty-eight times, talking to people is not really a problem for me. It is just something that I do.

So when some of my friends were like,
"MEGAN, I'M SOCIALLY AWKWARD."
"MEGAN, WHAT DO I SAY TO PEOPLE?"
"MEGAN, HOW DO I SOCIALIZE?'

1. My overwhelming answer, every time, is to say- "Hi"
2. If they respond, ask them about themselves and what they enjoy. 

That's it. No tips or tricks. Just two steps. I can't guarantee that they'll answer. I have no idea if they will respond to your text. I don't know if you will even have anything in common at all.
Or, telling someone you like the color purple may lead to lasting friendships. Who knows?

What I do know is, you'll never meet anyone unless you try!

Study playlist.

         
  Everybody's study environment is different. For example, mine is probably different from yours. Since I live alone it's easier for me to study in my room with either music or the television on. For those who do study like me and my awesomeness or those who want to try to mix it up on their next study date with your textbooks with the anticipation of finals. I've got something to share with you. A gift of sorts..
 A STUDY PLAYLIST.Yeah. it's not super exciting.
           You guys are actually getting a two for one deal. I created a playlist to share with all y'all and I've also included another created by some persons on the interwebs. It's instruments that are typically better to study with because there is no music to sing along with and distract you from romancing your history book.
                          Blogger doesn't like allowing me to embed things into it's interface.

Roads to Commodes....

It's official...I turned my fancy form into Enrollment Services  today and am now off on my way to becoming a civil engineer major. Now I've just got to continue on my way stardom. I've got a meeting with an adviser or someone in the engineering department on Thursday to discuss my transfer. Super excited for that because I've got to get all this stuff in order and the meeting is the first step in the right direction.  This major change is exciting and quite stressing but I've got a firm standing that this is the job field I want to go into. I'm no longer a Psychmarkcrimaccountturejustice major. Lucky me with my whole "i'm a big kid now, I know what I wanna be when I grow up attitude" I've  learned that  I get to take Trigonometry and Calculus 1 over the summer to catch up on the engineering train. I'm trying my hardest to get my butt into University Physics by Spring semester 2013.  The only plus to my summer of filled with copious amounts of math and public transportation  is that I will be home in Dallas and I get to eat here:

                           My schedule for next semester is looking pretty scary right now.
                   Thursday's are gonna be my Monday's. I have 3 classes and a 4 hour lab
I'm only taking 14 hours but I'm taking Gen Chem and lab and Calculus 2 (most likely)  which I feel makes the schedule a little more intense. Plus I plan on working next semester. We will see how it goes.

       and i'd like to state that we have 5 weeks of school left! woo-hoo!

My Spring Break!

Hey guys, I've been awesomely out of town since Friday. I went and drove nine hours to Perdido Key, Florida with my now ex boyfriend and his parents.
   and stayed at this place:

This place had an indoor and outdoors pools and hot tubs not to mention the beach was like 10 feet away from the pools.

So I have an awesome story to share to go along with showing ya'll where I had an awesome time at.

There's a pier owned by the resort that across the road. We had brought fishing rods to do some fishing. I guess. I thought they were ornaments or just pretty things to look at. Anyway we went for some late night fishing after spending some time on the beach. I tried casting a couple of times and failed horrendously. So I stood next to my boyfriend, doing what I do best, looking at the pretty surroundings. We're on the end of the t-shaped pier when this:

So I went to Blue Man Group...then made a video.

By the way, Students get to go to events at the Cowan Center for free!
