In case you have missed the return of the insanely popular Game of Thrones TV series ... well ... it's back! A few years ago many people only understood terms like "Winter is Coming" and "When You Play the Game of Thrones, You Win or You Die" if they had read the books. George Martin's ambitious book series began in the '97 and is still moving forward, one anxiously awaited book at a time.
One of the more interesting aspects of the book is that, when they were originally planned, the series was to be fewer books than they are now. The extra books became necessary to explain events that occurred between the time-jumps that were to have been needed to explain/justify Character X getting from Point Y to Point Z.
While one of the most difficult problems of adapting the books is, well, running out of book, the team behind the HBO series reportedly knows where the main story ends ...
... and that makes them the luckiest humans on the planet to some.
