My Last Day At The Call Center

Recently I had to make an important decision concerning my future as a graduate student and a telecounselor here at the University of Texas at Tyler. I figured out by going full time as a graduate student I can graduate by Fall of 2014. However, this will prevent me from continuing here at the UT Tyler Call Center. Let me explain...

My Sad Face

I will be taking three night classes a week, Tuesdays through Wednesdays. Sadly this will interfere with my work schedule. So, I made the decision to leave the call center so I can more easily continue my graduate career here at the University. It's a very saddening experience to leave someplace you've come to adore so dearly. I've never worked with such creative and intelligent people. The workers here at the call center go well above and beyond their expectations on a daily basis. As a fellow telecounselor I am constantly impressed by both my fellow workers and supervisors.

Though I might be leaving the call center I won't be leaving the University. UT Tyler's administration strives to make sure each and every student is taken care of in whatever way possible. I have never had a bad experience when dealing with a department here on campus. I will truly miss working with the people here in Admissions and hopefully in the future I may find myself working on campus again during my time as a grad student. In no way is this my final farewell blog... I'll leave that for my last day here at the Call Center on August 21st. Until then, keep contacting us with any questions you may have at the University. Its what we're here for.
