Here at the Communications Team at the University we
strive for excellence in communication skills and marketing. We are a close
knit group who work with each other to succeed any time an obstacle appears in
our path. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO….. If you are interested in joining the Communications

As opposed to off-campus jobs the University will work
with your school schedule so you have time for class and your job. Also, with
work hours being just 3 days a week between Sunday and Thursday from 3:30-8:30 PM you’ll have plenty of time early in the day for classes. The job description
reads below:
“Members of the Student Communications Team communicate
with prospective and current UT Tyler students through phone, e-mail, and
social media. As admissions telecounselors, the students contact prospective
students, admitted students, and current students by phone. The students help
to continue the UT Tyler experience by sending e-mails and/or postcards to
people who have participated in touring the campus. The students are
responsible for helping to monitor any social networking application used by
Admissions. They are also responsible for posting blogs and videos on events,
news, and their personal campus experiences on UT Tyler’s official Blogger page
and YouTube accounts. The students help advertise UT Tyler social media pages
by passing out fliers at UT Tyler’s Preview Day and orientations as well. “
