Underlying Benefits

Herrington Patriot Center

When thinking about the short term benefits of being a college student, it may be difficult to come up with things that may be beneficial or positive while being in school. You have tests, finals, reports, labs, possibly work, and other obstacles to overcome while attending school on the daily basis. Being able to use the gym at your convenience without having to pay a gym membership is among one of those things that are often over-looked. According to http://sports.whatitcosts.com/gym-membership.htm, gym memberships cost an average of $25 to $60 a month ($300 to $720 a year) which could be taxing to a college students’ budget. While being a student at the school, you are able to work-out in a state of the art gym (Herrington Patriot Center). Can’t believe what you’re reading? Keep going, there’s more. Along with this, you are able to participate in Rec Sports, fitness classes, club sports, and also outdoor adventures; http://www2.uttyler.edu/hpc/. So to help you keep off that freshman 15 (http://go2uttyler.blogspot.com/2012/01/beating-freshman-15-so-worth-it.html) and to get in shape for Spring Break, come get your blood flowing at the HPC. Hope to see you there…..
