I had received an e-mail earlier last week about today's Thank-A-Thon, which was held in the UC Ballroom. This e-mail was inviting me to type up a formal letter for a scholarship I had received last summer and present or hand it in. Sadly I did not attend this event. I had a play this morning at the Civic Theater and had to rush quickly to class afterward and then to work. But I have until February to hand in my letter, which is great.
The scholarship was a $1,000 Ambassador's Scholarship for my study abroad trip to Japan last summer. Now, months later, I think that aiding scholarship had more life impact than I ever thought....I hope my thank you letter won't be too long when it is completed.
