On the Third Day Before Christmas...

On the third day before Christmas, my true love gave to me.....
We took a drive to Marshall, Tx last night (Wednesday) and rode on a warm wagon drawn by horses. On the drive there, my boyfriend played country Christmas music, >:( gross. Luckily, he was in a talking mood, so he kept the music turned down. We dressed nice, no jeans for us, and there was something special about seeing each other look their best for a date night out of town.
Once getting to Marshall, we ate a quick dinner at the Jalapeno Tree and after I got helpful directions from 4 different people. We found the town square where they had set up an ice skating rink and life-size igloo snow globe where you could pay to be photographed. We passed up these and went down two blocks to pay for the "Carriage" ride. Originally we were expecting a 4 seat private, romantic carriage ride, but found out it was a large wagon that fit maybe 10 people. Oh well. We waited in this 3 story historical building downtown with souvenirs, furniture, coffee, and paintings until it was our time to ride the carriage.
The ride was about 25 minutes long and blankets were provided. We sat across from a family with two little boys and they totally stole our attention with their cute "little kid" language. ^_^ We had a great time.
