Tiger Creek.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Tiger Creek for my Animal Behavior class and loved it. I'm a huge animal lover so this was a big deal for me. Alot of the cats that are there have been rescued or they use to be performance cats and are now retired. They target train the cats because they don't want to get in the cages with them because that's too dangerous. Basically target training is where they put some meat at the end of this stick and get them to come to a certain part of the cage, after awhile they don't even need the meat. By the end of their training they learn to back their tail up to the cage so they can give them their shots. They also squirt "sour water" into their mouths to get them use to taking medicine. They don't only have tigers though, they also have lions, a jaguar, a puma, bobcats, and they even have a white tiger. Tiger Creek is located in Tyler and is right down the road from the state park. I suggest everyone go because it's a really neat experience. Also if you're interested in things like this they are always looking for volunteers! Check them out: http://www.tigercreek.org/
