The Coffin Shop

Before you start guessing what this post is about I'm gonna go ahead and stop you. No, this is not a fun nickname for the library. No my friends this post is related to a venue that has finally started to sprout it's wings and make itself known in the Tyler music scene. That's right people, Tyler has a music scene and it's full of beautiful people. This my friends is where the truly beautiful people of Tyler hang out...

The Coffin Shop is not only a music venue but also a place where local artists can show their work... And let me tell you, these are some very talented individuals.

I do apologize to the artists but I am unaware of which collections belong to whom so if you do know please to share and I will give them the proper credit they so rightfully deserve. But until then I will leave the name of photographer Chris Vinn who made all these pictures possible.

From what I do know of these artists is that they come from all walks of life and truly enjoy art for art's sake. They love sharing their work just as the bands that play there enjoy sharing their music......

Speaking of the bands that play there how about a few pictures to help entice you.

Untouch

The Problem Preachers (that's me ^)
Risky on the Rocks

Another band not pictured that frequents The Coffin Shop is Man & Knife.... I couldn't find a pick of them playing there.

Anyway if you are one the people who is interested in attending a show at The Coffin Shop here's a list of upcoming shows.

the Coffin Shop is located at 101 1/2 E Erwin Street  right next to the Liberty Theater. Go and LIKE their page on Facebook for more info on future shows. I hope to see some new faces out there in the coming weeks and months.

LET'S KEEP LOCAL ART AND MUSIC ALIVE PEOPLE!!!!!

life cheat #84343: If you ever tel me there's nothing to do in Tyler I'll always refer to The Coffin Shop.
