Let me begin by saying that I would much rather be where I am at this year as opposed to last year. I remember how busy my life was last year trying to wrap up my undergraduate studies and try and finish all my school work and make time to study for finals. Ick. Not fun at all. But last Thanksgiving I had a lot of fun because I got to go with my significant other to his family get-together. That was my first time to ever share Thanksgiving with a boyfriend and go along with him to meet the other members of his family. Last Thanksgiving was really nice and I felt great all day and never paid mind to "school" and "homework".
This year I am in grad school, so I only have one "final". My school work has be done throughout the course of the semester. I also have to observe and student teach on top of the school work. At least this year the things I am learning are things that I actually want to use and do for a career. This Thanksgiving my boyfriend and I will spend the holiday with my family. So, we've kind of taken turns a bit.
But like last year, I will still have school work to do during my time. Even though my classes are on-line and we aren't having any "class" this week, I don't think I can exactly excuse myself from the assignments that will be due at the beginning of next week? Oh, I wish I could... Oh, btw, I will still have assignments I must complete over my Christmas break before the student teaching begins int he spring. Joy.
Merry Christmas!
