Well ladies and gentlemen, it's the third week in November. We all know what that means, don't we? Turkey, ham, pies, cake, dressing, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce... Just thinking about all these extra calories is making me hungry. The football viewing at our home will be a forum of epic proportions, especially since the Cowboys (Dallas) are playing the Dolphins (Miami) on Thanksgiving day. There won't be one unstrained throat in the house.
Aside from eating of course (Thanksgiving without gaining 5 pounds is blasphemous), I plan on doing some preliminary hooking up with old high school friends. I know 4 days is kind of stretching it, but it never hurts to give it a shot. I'll have a much better time of it when Christmas rolls around.
I want also try some Black Friday shopping. Yes, I know. Black Friday is for those crazy people who like to line up at 3 a.m. and wait for the stores to open so they can stampede their way to cheaper merchandise. Not me. No, I'm going to casually swing by the mall around noon when all of the craziness has ebbed. No use getting trampled to death over discounts.
I hope you all have a great (big, fat) Thanksgiving!
