Well, let’s see… The reason I came to UT Tyler was, well I guess you could say it was half a financial decision. I originally applied to UT in Austin as a first choice (I am totally enamored with Austin), but I was CAPed here. I decided that staying here would be best because it was cheaper and I could get more individual attention here. More personally, I’m glad I chose to stay here in Tyler. It’s a smaller town pretty different from where I grew up. I come from Houston and I’m used to a big city-type setting, and considering I plan on being a Journalist, I figure it’s good for me to have lived in a place almost opposite from where I grew up. The next three years here will prove to be interesting for me, I hope.
