My UT Tyler Saga

You know, my story for how I ended up at UT Tyler is actually not all that great. I had originally applied to a BUNCH of out of state schools (Arizona state and Franklin pierce were my top choices), so my older sister (who was finishing up her degree at the time) threatened to inflict grievous bodily harm on me if I didn't apply to at least ONE in state school. So, of course, I jumped onto google and typed in "Psychology program in Texas". Several websites later, I decided to apply to UT Tyler. It was far enough from home that I wouldn't have to visit every weekend, and offered the degree that I wanted. It was a perfect fit (You know, for a back up school). A couple of weeks later, I found myself confirming my attendance at UT Tyler.
Now, the thing about it is that I think I ended up making the best choice I could have. I mean, my Freshman year I managed to pick up a job, maintain a 4.0 GPS, join Student Government, and become a Fraternity man. Several years later, I found that I had the ability to create my own internship (which I'm getting credit for), and am working with the Office of Wellness and Prevention. And that's in addition to remaining a part of those things I found my Freshman year! I think that I can honestly state that I don't regret my decisions at all. And isn't that all a guy can really ask for?

Anywho, I'd love to discuss your thoughts for or against attending UT Tyler. Let me know if you want to talk!

PS: Don't tell my sister that she helped me make a good choice. I'll NEVER live it down. *laughs*
