|my face to leaving you all|
Over this past year, I have made lots of memories, not only working in the office, but also in my interaction with students. Being a telecounselor has allowed me to aid prospective students in need who have questions about UT Tyler. Transitioning to college can be difficult and confusing, so I am honored to be able to help students transition to this great university. Customer service is a very important skill to have, and working here has allowed me to strengthen this skill. Every call I made was given with my utmost pontential, and every time I helped a student, I felt great! I have made over 5,000 calls; such an incredible number to think of. It was also fun being able to post for the social media accounts of UT Tyler Admissions: Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and Pinterest!
Writing blogs was always cool. I was able to report on any events that happen on campus as well as things that are of interest to students here in Tyler. This part of the job was able to sharpen my written skills as well as creativity in writing! Be sure to read my blog posts!
But alas, my time here at the call center has ended. I was able to get an internship at an organization as the new Public Relations/Marketing intern. I will be able to assist in writing press releases, designing ads, and other communication assignments given to me. This is a very exciting opportunity.
Working here has been a blessing and I am so grateful for the experience I gained. I will be sad not calling anymore students to help, but there are other telecounselors available to help you all! Be sure to keep reading the student blog!
