Culture Around UT Tyler

Tyler, Texas will have a lot going on over the next few weeks. Here's just a few of the happenings!

This weekend Tyler has a lot to offer all the music/art/culture fanatics out there. Though The Coffin Shop may not have anything this weekend there is still plenty to do around the area. Tonight through Saturday at 7:30 each night The Liberty Theater in downtown Tyler will be presenting a live adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s 39 Steps. Tickets for that can be found here at the Liberty theater website or at the theater itself prior to show time.

Friday night March 22nd at 9:00 Clicks live will have Channel 8 (featuring yours truly), Lucas for Sheriff, Stefan Cotter, and Man & Knife. This show is featuring some great local talent so this isn't a show you want to miss. Also on Friday night Stanley’s BBQ will feature live music from Oil Boom which will start at 8:00.

Saturday night March 23rd Clicks Live will feature more awesome local bands featuring Jonny Pecker and the Beaver Busting Pickle Weasels with The Bipolaroids (a personal favorite), and Remaining Anonymous.

In a week What About Kabobs will feature live music from Man & Knife, Remaining Anonymous, Retr05pect, and Channel 8 starting at around 8:00. Then to wrap up March The Coffin Shop is having a variety/open mic show on the 30th with spots still available. This is not only open to musical performances but also poetry, comedy, and anything and everything.Tyler has a lot going on over the next couple of weeks! I hope to see all you cool people out and about supporting local culture and music.
