Standoff between zombies and the humans.
*cough cough* Hello!? Anybody here? Hm, some of my supplies from my last broadcast are here, looks like the scavengers didn't find my hiding place... yet. Oh wow, and the generator still has some juice in it, enough for a few broadcasts I hope. After a few months of scattered radio transmissions from survivors left behind, the military decided to make another excursion into the city to see if they could find more survivors. Unfortunately due to multiple infected zones the military is stretched fairly thin, I was drafted into service and am now a formally deputized Zombie hunter. And let me tell you first hand that the world is very different from looking in my broadcast tower to actually being on the streets running for my life.
Day 1 has officially come to a close and the results are not for the faint of heart, the horde is bigger and stronger than I remember and the fear is palpable. I skirted around the zone trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible and did a fairly great job, I was not spotted and stayed clear of hostile areas, thanks to the information fellow survivors/hunters gave out. However, not everybody was as unfortunate as I was, from radio reports I received a human survivor team codenamed "Zombrarians" titled for their choice of bunker, the library, was systematically obliterated throughout the day. Dropping one by one but keeping strong and smart they held their positions...until the alert went out. A MODS special unit operative was badly injured and calling for assistance, rattled and confused he could not give us a clear location of where he is. So the humans went off to try and locate the injured man and take him to safety. This is where details lead into speculation as I was not present for this particular event so all information is based on second hand information. From what I gathered the humans failed to save the MODS operative, not only did they fail but the team gathered to rescue the man was nearly wiped out in the process...including the last remnants of the "Zombrarians" going out in the heat of combat trying to save a wounded comrade, that is the Z-brarian way to go. Unfortunately the mission was a failure, the humans were eventually able to overwhelm the zombie defenders and get him to a safer area, but the MODS operator bled out and gave into his injuries and is in a better place now.

The zombies have their prisoner
I was present for the major mission of the night, 3 MODS operatives were caught out in the open and isolated in varied locations and seeking assistance. The radio burst they sent out must have been too brief, only a handful of survivors and hunters showed up to save the hapless operatives. We gathered and speculated on ways we could complete the mission with as few losses as possible, we had a fine group, I stuck to the outside, careful to not gain bonds with people that could very well end up my enemy at the end of the night.
