R&B Legend Gladys Knight to Perform at UT Tyler!!!!

             Known as the “Empress of Soul”, Gladys Knight is the third special event this season at The University of Texas at Tyler's R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Knight will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17. Media sponsors are Tyler Morning Telegraph and CBS 19.
Ticket prices are $46, $56, $61, $66, $71 and $76 and can be purchased at the UT Tyler Cowan Center box office, 903.566.7424, or online at www.cowancenter.org. Box office hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“It is a rare opportunity to bring Gladys Knight to the Cowan Center. Her music is loved by so many, and this Vegas-style show featuring a great band with back-up singer/dancers is going to be fantastic,” said Thomae-Morphew.

This show will also feature music from the golden era of song on her album Before Me.
           Knight’s show business career spans more than four decades and includes such memorable hits as “I Heard it Through the Grapevine,” “Midnight Train to Georgia,” “If I Were Your Woman,” “Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me” and “Men”."
