The First Day of Summer

Really? The *first* day? So what, the last thirty some-odd days of heat and humidity don't count as summer? No, no, Mr. Calendar, summer has been here, you just weren't paying attention. But I guess now that it's "officially" summer, I'm going to start doing more summer things, you know, in between biology practicals and work nights. Maybe more relaxing and taking walks when it's cooler in the day or around evening time. I've begun to travel around the city more via bus, so I get to see a little more sunlight during the weekends. It's great exercise to walk places around the city. What's hard is getting up and avoiding the heat. Well, I guess it's time for me to start enjoying the "start" of the summer.
