"With a Little Ambition Just What We Can Become Here"

So I may be a little ahead of myself, but this semester marks the culmination of over four years of intense studying; persistent hard work; and an appreciation of the ability and opportunity to learn at a university where professors, faculty, and students have a stake in your future! I know, I know... it sounds a little cliché, but it has certainly been true for me. I have not always appreciated every moment of this opportunity or the transition from a larger city like Dallas to the much smaller population of Tyler and everything that comes with that transition. I must admit that this university has done a lot for me, for my maturity, the prospects for my career, and for the relationships I have developed. Above all, this university has enabled me to see how bright the future is for each of us despite our economic situation. If nothing else, this university and my experiences related to it have shown me that there is so much more out there for us!

I know this probably isn't at all what you would've expected from my blog on the first day back from a break that was admittedly too short, but I'm an optimist and I am aware of the blessings that I have been given. So with that being said, I want to leave you with a short quote (which can be seen in the title) that I am reminded of from one of my favorite musical artist, Jay-Z. If your first day is starting soon as well, look forward to the greater things that lie ahead of you and enjoy the moment that you're currently in because like my parents, work is always waiting there for us on the other end. Take care and have a great day!
