Today is my last day at
the call center. My last post, I talked about job hunting and rejection,
but I have a new job lined up! I'm heading to the County Clerk's office. I'm
going to miss working along side the great people I've worked with for the past
(almost) 8 months.
Friday is my last day at
the public library and I start my new job
on Monday. I'm glad to have studied at The University of Texas at Tyler, gotten
to know great friends, worked at the call center, and helped out prospective
students.
Even though I graduated a little over a month ago, I still didn't feel like I had fully transitioned from student life to adult life. With this new job, I'll be ending the phase of my life where I had to be employed part time because I needed to attend class and focus on exams and papers.
That phase ends, but a
new one begins. A phase that all of you, hopefully, will enter or have entered
(maybe we have some readers that read our student blog to feel nostalgic about
college). I'm hoping to go to grad school in a few years, but for now, getting
an adult job is pretty much all the excitement (or anxiety) I can take for now.
I need to remember to breathe! |
This is my last post
from being a student (not so student anymore) blogger. I hope everyone liked my
blog posts and I hope I helped someone on their road to or in UT Tyler (or any
other college for that matter).
Thank you to everyone that commented and read
my posts. Thanks to all the students that I called and had questions for me.
Thanks to my coworkers that made this one of the coolest jobs I've ever had.
I hope everyone has
a great rest of the semester!
