It's that time of year here at UT Tyler where, for most of us, the stress of class obligations and assignments is on hiatus. While most of us do have plans, there will be times where we are looking for something to do. But have no fear, Netflix is always there to provide you a good break from reality with its thousands of shows available. Not sure what to watch? No worries, I have compiled a list of my personal favorite shows on Netflix.
After being diagnosed with cancer, main character Walter
White enters the underground world of Meth production to provide what he can
for his family before his cancer gets the better of him. This show is
phenomenal. Excellent writing, excellent
acting, and a production value unmatched by most other shows, Breaking Bad
should be your number one priority when it comes to TV shows.
Oh, the Office. This
show is a classic. It is a show about a
Paper Company called Dunder Mifflin.
The show features a wide cast of characters and portrays the everyday life of a
paper company. This show will forever be
one of my favorite shows of all time.
The humor is not always overt, but that is what I like about. Every episode includes a lot of cringy
moments where things are so awkward that every hair on your body stands up, and
there are 9 seasons worth! Enjoy.
Arrested Development features is dysfunctional family who
comes under legal fire after the father, Owner of a real estate company
partakes in some extremely illegal, and possibly treasonous business
ventures. The show is about the oldest
son trying to keep the family and the business together. This show is extremely smart in the way it
presents itself, and the actors are phenomenal.
This is a must watch. 
Malcolm in the Middle was a relief from most other
television shows and are popular today, as it featured an intelligent main
character. The show is about an
intellectually gifted middle school student who must deal with every day
conflicts, like getting bullied, or his overbearing mother. This is an excellent in between shows show. 
I am a little surprised I decided to include this show in my
list, but it is starting to grow on me.
There are seven seasons of Buffy on Netflix. It features a high school girl who has been
charged to eliminate the forces of evil from the earth. Featuring monsters like Witches, Vampires,
and Demons, this show offers it all. The
one thing I will warn you of, though, is that the first season is rough. Awkward and corny humor and predictable story
lines should not keep you from watching the rest of the series, though. I promise it gets better.
