Have you heard of the UT Tyler College of Pharmacy?

Whenever there's something new it always adds a fresh appeal. This is true when it comes to new programs here at The University of Texas at Tyler. The Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy is expected to open Fall 2015! This will add new resources and qualities to the growing university!

If you ever planned on being a pharmacist, UT Tyler is now available to set you on the right path to your dream career!!! The program is combination of undergraduate and professional level studies.  The first two years are focused around pre-requisite classes. You can apply for the pharmacy program while your pre-reqs are still in progress! There are different requirements as well to be accepted to the program:
  • Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Must have a 2.5 GPA in math/science classes
  • Must have taken the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) although there is not yet a minimum score established
This new college provides more options for students, so if you currently haven't chosen a major, be on the look out to see if you would like to be a Pharmacy major! The curriculum will be team based working in groups to figure out situations! Like the Dean of the college said, there are always new drugs to be discovered, so researching and working with the complex qualities of drugs is very interesting! You can be part of this experience so be sure to apply once you've met the requirements!

The advising office for the major is currently available, so be sure to get in contact with them to figure out if this is something you want to make as your career!
