UT Tyler Student Money Management: Valentine Edition

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! This is the time of the year where you and your significant other celebrate your relationship. The harsh reality though, is that as a college student, you may not have the funds to treat your loved ones with the right date or gifts. Don’t fret though! The Student Money Management program here at The University of Texas at Tyler has all the resources you need to get you financially prepared!

The Student Money Management will host an event on campus called “Date Night on a Dime.”

Students will have the opportunity to learn tips on how to handle funds to be able to budget dates and other costs that come with doing special things for your significant other. This event will take place at the University Center Ballroom on Thursday, February 13 at 12:30 p.m.

This event will occur conveniently one day before Valentine’s. If you’re mentally blocked and have nothing planned, don’t panic! They will take care of any questions about financial planning that you have!
This event will also have free food and prizes, so why not come! Free stuff is awesome and learning how to save money is even better!

The Student Money Management is an on campus program that helps students improve their financial planning skills as well as teaching effective spending habits during their time in college. They assist students in becoming more responsible with their money that will transcend after you graduate. They help you with creating budgets, saving money, as well as learning how to start building credit.

Feel free to contact the program if you would like more information.
