College of Nursing Showcase Day at UT Tyler

The University of Texas at Tyler is hosting College Showcase Week in the month of February! This new event is very beneficial to prospective students. College Showcase Week is a bit more personal and major specific compare to Patriots Preview Day. This event designates one College per day through the week of  February 10th through the 13th. Each program will be held from 9 AM- 1:30 PM

As a nursing major, I would like to elaborate more on the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

If you are interested in majoring in nursing, I extremely encourage you to come visit us on the 11th!

Prospective students will have the opportunity to tour the newly constructed nursing labs. The students will get to see the simulation mannequins among other nursing equipment. Q&A sessions as well as lunch with faculty and current students will be held. As always, there will also be representatives to answer admission and financial aid questions.

 I truly believe that this is such an amazing opportunity that I wish was available to me during my college searching days. This event is a lot more hands on and gives students opportunities that will not be as insightful as other events. When can you sit in on actual nursing class and see students in action( I might even see you there!) And who can pass up on mannequins that stimulate birth, heart attacks, and other ailments?!
