UT Tyler shows its Freedom of Religion!!!!


UT Tyler will hold a public roundtable discussion about various religions 9 a.m. – noon Saturday, Sept. 17 in the UT Tyler Fine Arts Building, room 1009, Dr. Martin Slann, College of Arts and Sciences dean, announced.

“Theologians will represent Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Greek Orthodox and Protestant – Methodist and Evangelical,” said Dr. Stephen Krebbs, senior lecturer in philosophy. “Representatives will give an eight- to 10-minute presentation on the individual – besides the founder – who most influenced their religious orientation. All interested individuals are encouraged to come and participate.”

Roundtable organizer Kevin Johnsen, UT Tyler alumnus and adjunct lecturer in religion studies at the university, will serve as moderator.
